another 3rd gen pet peeve

I really wish I could swap the locations of the rpm gauge with the speedometer or the gas/temp gauges. I like to drive with my steering wheel down when in "pursuit mode" and up when driving civil. When it is down I can barely see the rpms tho... grrr.

discuss, and I will see ya in the morning

get an aftermarket rpm gauge and put it on ur dash....that's the cheapest and not messy way to do it....

discuss, and I will see ya in the morning [/QUOTE]You don't need no stinking rev guage .....................

When in pursuit all you need to know is that you can keep up or pass ................... and in civil mode all you need to know is that you are moving - the rev guage is only there so you can set your idle speed properly.

Me thinks the manipulation of the steering wheel angle/position while on the move is a way more serious "issue" when switching between driving modes

You could try modifying the current housings (cutting out + putting in makeshift plastic mounts) for the gauges, swap them around and (re-)wire them directly, wire for wire? The warning lights can stay where they are

If you're going to get those huge ricey ones, atleast modify the housing and install them INside your dash. You still need to see where you're driving on the road, and the world doesnt need/want to know that you have "boost" and "oil temperature".

i dont mind it so much. it would look nice with the tach in the middle

you need a wheel that open at the top like a airplane wheel

they were trying to emulate the old pro street look with the bonneville salt flat high speed influence.
