You know what I just realized?

The 3rd gen was released 20 years ago, and nobody has made any comments about that small accomplishment.

So here is to Nissan, and our Maximas, starting in 1989, a design many of us still think is the best looking one to date.

So was your 4th gen, it's only 1 year older. You've still invested quiet a bit of money, considering its 'just a car'. :P

theyre a lot more. you cant throw a 3rd gen max next to a early 90's ford taurus or something and say theyre the same thing. these cars are invincible, quite a few people on here including me have ones with high mileage that have had no major work done to them

and whiteSE, i dont think the supra was released 15 years ago. here's a 1991 supra for sale. unless youre living in 2006...

Supra's are older than that. There was a time the Celica was RWD; it was also recognized as a Supra.

I used to own a 88 supra. Solid car. It had over 200k and still ran strong. I personally think that the older the car, the more durable it is. Thats why my next car was a 91 max

ZX is older too

To be fair we were talking about specifically the third gen, so...

By the way, where are all those Vulcan V6 powered Tauruses @? Hell where are all the SHO Tauruses? I see 2 gen and 3rd gen Maximas like crazy... still rolling, some on thier last leg but some were really well kept (owners loved them) and looking sharp! I'm a Nissan lover myself, I had a Ford( it sucked! 74 Maverick), Gm, Still have my Dodge, Many Toyotas, Mitsubishi (never again), Parents had Acrua/Hondas,...but these vehicles i must say are really over engineered and well built to take plenty of abuse and use!

no mean to diss 4th gen Maximas but i personally don't like their STOCK SHAPE unless they r lowered and wearing some fancy rims then they LOOK HOT very hot.....but if u compare stock 3rd gen SE to stock 4th gen SE i think 3rd gens looks better than them...and ya lowered 3rd gen max and fancy rims then i think its ONE OF the best looking generation of Maximas....hell u jus put some decent rims on stock 3rd gen and they look very GOOD no need to be lowered tho...
