Can I make this work, 17x9 +43?

I bought some wheels off of a guy on here and he ripped me off so now I am stuck with them. His name on here is 97neptune, hopefully no one will deal with him. I bought what I was told were 17x9 FNO1R-c with a +35 offset, and 275/50 drag radials with half tread. Well what I really got was a pair of 17x9 FNO1R-c with a +43 offset and a bald/dry rotted set of drag radials that would not hold air with nail holes in them. Anyway, rather than trying to re sell them I am wondering how hard would it be to make them fit on my fourth gen? The 275's that were on the wheels were too big...I know that. I only want to run this set up for drag racing so I probably will get a set of 255drag radials that will fit. Do you guys know what offset (what size spacer would I need to run) I would need to acheive to make that fit under a fourth gen that is lowered about 3". Is this possible with stock camber settings?

Have you tried a test fit??? Compared to my car they should fit?

This is a 17x10 +35 with a 275/40/17 road race tire, it cleared the strut fine.

Yes, and they hit the strut.

Do you have a side picture of that set up on your car showing how much they stick out?

With that width and offset, id say you might need to run a 5-10mm spacer.

If you dont have access to spacers, just use washers, keep stacking them on till the wheel clears the strut, then take them off and measure how thick of a spacer you'll need. Be warned, dont even attempt to move the car with washers though lol.

I test fitted 2 bbs lm's that were 17x9 +40, and they didnt make contact with the strut.

throw on a 5mm or 10mm spacer and youre golden. now does the 275 tire hit the strut or does the rim hit the strut?

im running a 17x9.0J +25et with only slight rubbing on the outside. no strut clearance issues for obvious reasons. id say an approx offset of about +30 to +35 on 9" wide would do the trick. what are your spring rates like? stiffer is better so minimal compression to reduce fender rub.

This is a front shot of the 17x10 +35 tire is a 275/40/17 road race tire (Hankook Z211)

This a 17x9 +34 with a 275/40/17 race tire (Kumho V700 victoracer) I ran these at a autoX a few weeks ago with no rubbing.

I think the issue may be the height of the tire. You listed the tire as a 275/50/17?? I was thinking 275/40. Just using the offset your 17x9 +43 should have an extra 5mm of strut clearance over my 17x10 +35s.

So you are thinking I would just need a different tire size? If I only changed the tire size, I am thinking the offset of the wheels would not allow me to clear big brakes if I go that route in the future (which is likely).

If I ran a small spacer to push the wheels out a little in the front would that be safe to race on? Would a 5mm spacer need longer wheels studs?
