Would 225/40/18s stretch bad on 18x8 wheels.

You could do it, but it would be a slight stretch and look like crap on this car, unless you are majorly slammed. Even 235/40/18s look kinda thin, IMO.

Also, your speedometer would be reading 3% too fast, according to the tire calculator in the Stickies.

I've got 225/45/18 on my SE-Rs and they deffinatly don't look great but I think if they were much wider I'd be rubbing, I'm dropped on Vogtlands.
