Who got Stillen Hi flow intake????

Im juss wondering who else got the stillen hi flow intake for their maxima? i got it in december n i love it!!

for those that are thinking bout it heres my opinion

at idle quite
100-2000 rpm mild
2100 and above rpm.... screams nissan!!!!!!!!

this intake is cool cuz it stays stock at regular driving condition, but once you mash on it, it becomes a beast!!!

the choice is yos!!!

I was wondering how well this intake (and intakes in general) performed on our car, my experience has always been that most people who get an intake usually lose some torque on the low end.

Has losing TQ on the low end been a problem for you or do you not seem to notice the loss of power but choose rather to focus on the mid and high end sound and TQ gain???

Thanks

you dont really notice and if your putting on an exhaust she'll run better with one.

Is the Stock Exhaust too restrictive to get the sound you're looking for?

I know that when ppl usually add the free flowing exhaust/full catback w/B-Pipe that they usually don't feel a loss in low end TQ-just wondering if our stock exhaust leaves you with the same feeling of being robbed on the low end.

Thanks

I have both on my MAX!!!....and I love them both! I put the exhaust on first and noticed gains in the mid range area not to mention the beautful sound of the MAX opening up! At idle you can hear a very smooth low growl and at normal speeds she hummms very nicely...but when you STEP on it ohhhhhhh man she comes alive.

THEN I ADDED THE INTAKE!!!!!! And now I can 't believe how good it is all around...! :-) It really opened up that V-6 ALL THE WAY! I most defintely have to be pushing over 300 horses!!!! I love when you sit with her in Neutural and you just give her some gas you can hear the air sucking into the intake and I have to tell you it sounds tough. At the end of the day I am very pleased with the entire setup and reccommend it to anyone who is trying to add a little more muscle to their MAX!!! I have noticed gains all around the powerband!

its not the restrictiveness of the exhaust that keeps the sound down its the muffler you get a free flowing muffler and the sound will come I assure you. prob sound like crap tho.

My exhaust is a nice tone at lower rpms, then when you step on it, the sound goes away and you can hear the intake, and the engine scream

It's funny that you asked that because usually most ppl see a loss in gas economy due to their desire to get on the gas so that they can hear their Intake and Exhaust.

+1... once you get a intake you'll always want to be flooring that pedal to hear the intake roarrring!!! ..... atleast i do lol so as a result your gas goes buh-bye! but @ the end - its allll worth it

Ya noticed that today after my install. I opened him up and man does he fly. The intake is amazing. But after my fill up i drove like i normally do and it seemed that even though i was driving regularly not aggressively my gas milage was decreasing.

Is a whistling noise when giving your car gas normal after the intake install?

In my case I see somewhat of a slight increase probably because I do alot of long driving to and from work. I drive alot on the I-15 north and south from vegas to fort irwin and vice versa on my weekends. It's a joy to drive either way and really happy with the intake it was worth every penny! Now to get the cat back and y pipe!

If anything it will be worse as it's alwaybe been in my case and I've done this with 3 prior Max's, I've learned IMHO the little horsepower you gain it's not worth the decrease in mileage nor the horrible fish sucking sound that starts at 1/2 to full throttle.

So you think you can do 13.9s on a good day ? Not with the 20" rims, but maybe back with the 18's... ?
