Dose anyone have this key?

I searched and couldn't find anything so here goes.

dose anyone have this flip style key yet? I was wondering if you do let me know the quality and how good it works.

Its kind of ugly but kind of a cool idea.

I had a TL for about two weeks and it had that type of key. Didn't really like it due to the bulk, but neat for integration purposes.

My friend with a 350z bought a blank nissan flipout key like that. You have to open up an extra fob that you have and take out the transponder chip in it and put it in the new flip out fob. He also told me that you can't cut the key with the rest of the fob attached to it, so you'll have to take out the the actual key part and get it cut w/o the rest of the fob attached to it.

Sounds like it isn't worth it if it's a big p.i.t.a.

I've cut a few of those keys when I worked at HD part time. You did not have to remove the actual key from the keyfob.

Yes, i bought a key like that from the same company for my 02 Max.... worked for a few months until the chip inside crapped out. Left me stranded in the morning on my way to work. Had to get it towed and missed 4 hours of work because of it. GRRR! lol... Anyway its a cool idea but i wouldnt take the chance with it again.

The main concern I would have with it, is the security chip.
Seems like a problem just waiting to happen.

Cool looking, but I wouldn't risk it.
