If I don't have a radio, I have to plug in to my dare or let the squeaks and rattles keep me company.

I'd like some help. It's a 1994 GXE with a standard am/fm cassette radio.

hay OP.. http://boredmder.com/FSM/Nissan/Maxima/1994/el.pdf go to page 107 and start testing wires n stuff. esp since you have a stock audio system still, this should basically step-by-step you through any possible problem.

have you actually checked the fuse with a multimeter? if so, your stereo may be dead:/(follow caped's advice to be sure)...

also, listening to a radio/cd-player/mp3 player/whatever is illegal in most states, due to not being able to hear emergency vehicle's sirens approaching. be sure to leave one ear free to enjoy the road noise, while the other jams out to the tunes (at a low level, of course)

My radio died, then.

Can I take one from a same-year Altima then?

You mean maxima?

It would be easier, and probably cost just as much to get an aftermarket radio for cheap from somewhere. And you would know it wasn't going to break soon. I don't think you can get one from an Altima if you did mean that.

Ok I got a new radio but the connectors in the rear are not compatible!

it's one with a dvd player so that might be the problem

a LOT more specifics would help, but more than likely you need adapter as stated above.
