Fixed my peeling 04 grille

Hi, I had a grille that looked like it had leprosy, big peeling spots, brownish, ugly. I took it off, used some heavy duty gel paint remover.

You brush it on the grille with a 1 inch brush. use ALOT of stuff, thick dropping coat. Put 2-3 coats. Then wait 10 minutes, you will see it all bubbling. (wear gloves and eyeglasses. it burns skin and I wouldnt like to know what it would do to an eye) Then use a small brush, and brush it all, and in between all the holes. Rinse with just a bit of water, then brush again, and then rinse clean.

Do not let the paint remover dry. It will just all stick back to the grille. Best I found is just to brush it when it has lifted the clearcoat, then rinse with alot of water.

Only the clearcoat is removed. The chrome under it is spotless. Do not use it on the black nissan letters, because it will remove them. I didnt apply it there and just because of the water and droplets, some of the nissan letters are gone. Bah.

I had to do it 3 times to get the grille spotless. It's absolutely fantastic, shiny and looks 10 times better than new. REALLY helped the max look better, plus it's easy, and it cost 10$ and I still have stuff to do 5 other grilles....
