My Best ET and MPH

So I went back to OSW tonight. First run sucked 14.965 @ 93.78 mph with a 2.553 60 foot. Foot slipped while launching and then car bogged. Next run I sat in the front of the line for an hour, so car was nice and cool. I ran 14.568 @ 95.45 mph with a 2.237 60 foot. This time I launched closer to 2k RPM's instead of higher. It seems the higher I launch I just spin, but if I launch too low it bogs. So I know that it still isn't that good, but for only CAI as engine mod, I feel good. There is another 5.5 gen 6 speed that runs here with Injen CAI and Greddy Cat back, his best ever is 14.50 @ 98 mph. I really need some more mods.

Thats the hardest part for me is getting the rpms where I want them when I launch. Between watching the light tree and rpms it's miracle I don't red light every time.

Get that launch down and I think you will be happy with your times.

Not a bad 60 foot..I usually launch about 2200-2300 and feather it for just a bit. So I think you should be able to launch a little higher w/o spinning or bogging..ET looks good, the trap seems a little low, but I suppose your car is pretty much loaded so..

I don't know how much of a differnce is makes, but car is loaded : Leather, sunroof, and TE wheels. And it was still 85 degrees with high humidity at the time of that run.

every 100 pounds is roughly good for a tenth off of your 1/4 mile time...usually.

Work on your 60' and launch! It makes a hell of a difference toward the end if you you get a good launch with minimal wheel spin! I'm searching for used AT 02-03 motor mounts so I can install my new ES motor mount bushing into them without taking my car out of commission! I'm shooting for a 2.0 or lower 60 ft had a little wheel hop coming out the hole last time! So once the motor mounts and subframe bushings are installed I should be able to launch even harder! Those 245/40/18's Nitto(s) are doing their job well with it's 2.171 60ft but I've got to get to those 13's and then I'm through....
