I wired up my Auto dimming mirror and it works except the lights behind the text day/auto do not light up, the buttons light up though. The mirror works fine, it dims and undims with light but i can't tell when i slide the dimmer switch if anything happens.

Could i have the wiring backwards?
and would that cause them to not light?

I haven't tried to reverse the wiring but I did switch out the mirrors and the same problem arose. I have no pics of the wiring at the moment but can take some later.

 

mine don't work either. put a flashlight to the mirror and see if it dims when in "auto" mode.

I'm pretty sure my text is lit up....I'll have to check tonight and report back.

As for your comment " i can't see a noticeable difference when i adjust the dimming switch" I'm pretty sure that's normal. I do see a difference when it auto dims at night, just not a huge difference.

 

My lights work just fine. As soon as I put my parking lights on so that it illuminates the gauges in such they also turn on. The lights in the buttons light up when the car turns on, ie which ever mode is selected not both at the same time.
