I know this may be a dumb question, but i am just looking for suggestions on how people installed these on 96-99 I30's since these have the tabs.

 

You didnt get the plastic door sill pieces to go with them?

I saw a thread a while ago on how to do this try searching in here or google.

 

you cant put this in (well i mean anything can be done with the right amount of modding.) without the plastic sill that houses the chrome infiniti piece. The problem being that if applied to the regular sill it sits too high and scrapes the door or rather door scrapes it.
The OEM regular and not 99 limited has like rib like lines on the plastic sill which will place the chrome piece too high if glued on top or something.

The OEM 99 limited piece has a dent in it which the chrome goes into. How did you end up with just the chrome?

You can try to sand or flatten the plastic non 99 lim. piece till it can sit low enough to clear the door.. but i don't know if that works...

I found the whole set when I went to find a (WTB)engine cover for the 01 i30... but instead found this for 40$ mint cond. except for driver door. gluck

 

hmmm did you get those off a 99 i30? i didn't realize our gen had those sills, so i bought i30-i35 ones. i'll have to keep looking
