got my new rims in (pic), need tire suggestions

Phase 1: Replace the 15" honeycomb rims on my pebble beige 96 GLE, with 16 X 6.5 (2000 SE?) rims. I want to spend around $100 per tire any suggestions.

Phase 2: Tint, FSTB and front clear corners.

Phase 3: New struts and shocks (possible lowering), but not much I kinda like the 4X4 look.

I'm not posting a pic of the car until I at least get the wheels on.

BTW, obviously, I am looking for tires too...... What size tire are you looking for????

I'm going for 225/55/16 or 225/50/16....

Right now, I'm looking at a good all season performance tire, so far considering:

-Yokohama AVS - 103$ at tirerack.com
Very quiet and smooth, and supurb dry traction, all season -

-Dunlop SP5000 Sport - 108$ each at tirerack.com
(the Assymetrical seem to be the best all around tire, as far as all season capabilities go, it is rated high in every category.

-Pirelli P6000 Sport - 93$ at tirerack
Good all season tire, good price, nice looking thread too

I'm probably going to go with Yokohama's....

I had Yokohamas on my 95 SE, they rode very well.

I don't remeber the model but they had very good traction like you said. I'll probably go with those as well, but I'm not sure which size.

Spend a little extra money and get Toyo T1-S's, or try to find some Bridgestone PP S0-2's on clearance. I think www.victoriatire.com has the best prices, and www.tirerack.com has the S0-2's on sale.
