Not sure if this has been realized, I thought I saw it posted once but I just searched and didn't find a thread that jumped out at me.
Anyways, 3rd and 4th gen Maxima pads and 350z non-brembo pads are interchangeable. Not sure why manufacturers have not realized this, but I just verified this last night. So if your favorite race compound is not offered in Maxima flavor, check out the 350Z application. Companies like Cobalt, Hawk, Performance Friction, Ferodo, Project-Mu, etc don't have much in the way of Maxima fitment, but they have everything in 350Z.

I'm not saying they aren't, I don't know anything about 6th gen pads. They could be exactly the same for all I know. All I'm saying is that I've confirmed that 3rd and 4th gen pads are the same as 350Z pads because I just test fitted them last night.

6th gen calipers are WAY different than 3-4-5 gen calipers.
I'm not sure about 5.5 gen vs. 3-4-5, but the 3-4-5 calipers all use the same front pad.
4-5 gens have the same rear brakes, so the pads will surely interchange there. I forgot about the 3 gen rears though. I'm pretty sure they use the same pad, just a different caliper. Been a long time since I've worried about track pads for stock calipers. I just switched to Wilwood and called it a day. Cheaper in the long run if you're a track junkie since track compound pads are 1/2 to 1/3 the price on a race caliper vs. an OEM design caliper.
