warning: strange question inside. quest parts on a 4th gen?

So my mom is taking advantage of the "Cash For Clunkers" thing, which is basically the government giving you $3,500 - $4,000 for a car. Only stipulation is that it needs to be in running condition.

My mom is in the market for a new car, and is using the money as a down payment. Her 2000 Mercury Villager is in basically perfect mechanical condition, but it has alot of cosmetic damage from a tornado in April, and it was totaled out by the insurance company. She had to get a rebuilt title, therefore the resale value is...well, there's not much value to speak of.

Since the Mercury Villager is a Nissan Quest at heart, I was wondering what, if any, parts would work for our cars. I'm not trying to be a but if i can have "new" parts for an old car, why fight it?

Anyone have any ideas?

...what parts do you need from it?

There are only so many parts you can start stripping off of the thing before it is no longer in running condition.

^^ i dunno, anything that might offer an upgrade. nothing in particular needs replaced at the moment, i was just curious. if a car is being sent to a crusher, it would be nice to have something to keep alive on another car i guess hahaha

Wait a minute you want to put quest parts on a 4th gen Maxima ?
What part from the 2000 quest will fit a 97 maxima ? I don't think any...

Maybe the tires or the radio or the speakers.

Short of you taking a look and seeing what items in particular you're talking about, just about anything in the car may or may not fit.
