my 02 max is having issues with the cruise control sometimes i hit the button to turn the cruise on and the cruise light comes on but go does the set light and that one blinks. It seems that all that needs to be done is turn the car off and back on and it works again. Any one have this or had this issue?

 

ME TOO usually when I hit the brakes.

 

I had that happen to me. Water leaking under the dash and shorting things seems to be my problem. Does it only happen when (or after) it rains?

 

no i dont think its thr rain, i havnt had the car too long and havn't used the CC that much. Its just sometimes i hit the cruise on and that light comes on and so does the blinking set. Other times it works normal. But always seems to work after the ingition is turned off and back on

 

sometimes mine blinks after i have been using it and am lightly in the brakes coasting downhill.

have you tried turning off the cruise control then turning it back on and then trying to set it.

 

yeah i have tried that. It still blinks if i turn it off and back on.

 

i am still having this issue. Could there is a vacume line that controls the cruise that may be cut or loose. If i turn the car off and turn the ing on and hit the cruise button before i start the car then i actually start the car it will work and not blink.
