Wire LED's into corner light housings
Wire LED's into corner light housings
For reasons posted in this thread, I'm pretty much done putting bulbs in my corner light housings.
I'd like to just drill a hole in the housing and slip in a white LED, seal it off, be done with it forever. My question is (a dumb one), the three wires that go to the corner lights are red, black, and orange. What in the world is the orange one for?
If anyone wants/needs pictures I'll go take one but I'm sure this is gonna be a facepalm on my part.

Red and orange are for the two different filaments, brighter when the turn signal is on, dimmer when it's not.
Orange is for the brighter filament, red for the dimmer.
Funny, the '96 EL doesn't show it, but '95 does. Though in '95 it's red/blue and orange/blue.

Thank you Pmohr. So how exactly does that work, does one put out more/less voltage than the other? Should I wire the LED to just one, or both on the + side?
S1cTech - Cause I don't have a lot of money.

If you wire it to the red wire, they'll be on whenever the headlights/parking lights are on. If you wire it to orange, they'll only come on with the turn signal.
