I'm ready to buy one also. Does it matter if it's cali or fed spec?

For 1995 - 1998 Maximas, there are no differences in cali/fed spec. The y-pipe is the same. Only owners of 1999 Maximas have to figure out if they are cali/fed spec.

Grand_hustle17,

You are correct, but that only applies to 1999+ Maximas. For example, my car is a 1999.5, therefore, it is a cali spec. I talked to WarpSpeed directly over the phone and confirmed this statement. Even their website lists 1 part number for both cali/fed spec y-pipes for 1995-1998 Maximas.
