Ebay FSB fittment issue

Ive had my (ebay) FSB forever but finally got a chance to put it on today. I put the mount on the drivers side first not problem there and then placed the mount for the FSB on the passenger side which is where i noticed the mount was resting on the a/c line i torqued down the farthest bolts from the line and hand tightened the one closest. i will put a pic up later tonight, but i mostly wanted to know if this could cause an issue?

thanks

(btw i searched and just found stuff about how ppl were deciding if the ebay fsb was good or not)

Not trying to put a damper on your spirits, but this is an ebay FSTB. Its not going to fit perfect. How much pressure is it putting on that line?

Just bend the ac line out of the way and make sure nothing on the intake manifold is rubbing either.

i just let my a/c line sit there... i never had a problem....

it doesn't rub. trust me....

why do you think that the a/c line has a little bit of lee-way to move up or down?

ima post a picture for you.. you aint even gotta worry about it...

(EDIT)

here is the picture..

kinda large... sorry

but here you go.. is this what your talking about?

and about the fact wheter ebay FSTB are good or not....... if it works, then it works..

if the cheap 20 dollar ebay front strut tower bar performs the same function as the high dollar FSTB, then i say, don't waste money on a name......... i bought mine for 20 bucks...... it works for me. even though i can't really tell a difference in handling at all. but sure... i only have it there for looks and so called "handling performance" but i mean, thats just me.

so that a cheapo EBAY distributed FSTB could push it down? I don't think so. I can just visualize the engineers at nissan japan sitting at a table drinking green tea and figuring out how to give the AC lines 2" of free movement in order to fit a $20 piece of useless junk...

Is this the $25 one? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/MAXIM...Q5fAccessories I'm about to get one too. I have a rear sway bar and am ordering eibach pro kit drop springs and kyb gr2's so I think the fstb will make it a nice package.

It'll eventually rub a hole in the AC suction line. Maybe you can at least put something in between the line and the FSTB mount. Or bend it out of the way like what was earlier suggested.

Plenty of ebay FSTBs (it's FSTB, by the way...for Front Strut Tower Bar) have been purchased and used by .org members without any problems. Always a good chance that yours is simply a defective piece. After all, you get what you pay for.

I purchased one off of Ebay for a 5th gen, and it came out fine. I think yours might be messed up.

I had the same problem with my third gen, simply bend the hose assembly down a bit and you'll be fine. 3 years worth of driving with it on and the hose hasnt rubbed on there.

lol at Dave Sz...
