I need some opinions!!!

Ok here is the story I'll try to keep it short. Originally when I made a deal to purchase my car on saturday the finance guy wrote it up for $13899 and an extended service contract was $900...Monday morning after I got financed from the bank I went back to the dealership and the final paperwork says purchase price of $13000 and the extended contract for $1799 (Im thinking he took some away from the purchase price and tacked it onto the service plan price to get a bigger commission). Now I noticed today one of my tires is going flat and both of my front tires have gouges in them (looks like something from a tow truck...my own fault for not looking at the car thoroughly before purchasing it)...anyway there is a 30 day full refund on the entire service contract price. I have had a reliable mechanic that works to $30/hr for me for the past 10 yrs...HERE IS WHAT I NEED OPINIONS ON...Do you think I should get a refund for the entire $1799 and say f the contract and all the loop holes it has in it...or keep the service contract in case I need it???

How many Miles are on the car? How many miles does the warranty cover you for? Do you think you will use the warranty by the time it runs out?

If you have a guy that works for 30 an hour, Id say F it. Then again, better safe then sorry...

I bought my 07 late last year, it had 16,900 miles. The car had been in service for just under 2 years, so I only had 1 year left on the factory warranty. It was certified pre-owned, which is nice, but it only covers the hard parts on the engine/trans. Now, keep in mind that I do all of my own mechanical work, short of internal engine/trans, but I purchased the Nissan "wrap" warranty for 7yr/100K miles anyway. I figured I was going to have 5 yrs worth of payments, and I didn't want to be working on the car. I'm not usually one for extended warranties, so we'll see how this goes.

dont even think about it bro!!! just get your money back and put in in a saving account just in case the car gives u some problems... i dont believe in those warranties based on my own experience cuz everything that break in the car is not covert in the stupid contract.

It went how I thought it was goin to go...I walked into the dealership today and told em I wanted to cancel. You should have seen the look on the finance guys face bc he knew he made a booboo. Told me I wont get a check for 4-6 weeks bc landmark ford (across the street from landmark cadillac where I purchased it from) had to process it and it needed two signatures and this and that...so I said thanks. Went to landmark ford across the street and used my Sicilian swag and the lady printed me a check for $1799. I felt very accomplished. Now I have a new set of rims coming that the bank financed and didn't even know it and money left over to buy the lady friend something nice haha. Thanks for your input guys

I know it wasnt a perfect idea and I probably should have put the money towards the principal or saved it in a savings account, but the way i see it my payments werent going to change and Id rather see new wheels now than see a lowered principal on paper.
