running rough under 3k rpm?

ok so i have a 95 maxima 5 speed any under 3k rpm and less then about 1/2 throttle the cars jurks and bucks. i just changed the spark plugs but i went cheap and got the auto light plugs of the correct heat range could this be a prob? i also checked the coils and all are in spec and clean connecters and all bolts tight. so im thinking i might either have a bad or dirty MAF or a bad KS? any thoughts on what i should do to resolve this prob?

Very unlikely that it's the KS causing the problem.

Could be those cheap spark plugs, though. Not sure about MAF - it's a possibility.

Hopefully someone more knowledgeable will chime in to help you out...

Does this bucking occur when you're on the pedal steadily? or when you get off of the gas and as soon as you get back on it???

Also does it occur in all gears?

Also the NGK plats aren't really that expensive, you're just prolonging the inevitable, even if it isn't your spark plugs now it will be later.

it does it when im taking off and and going through the gears its the worst in 2-4th gears under 3k rpm. if i step on it past about 1/2 throttle it jerks less but it still does it. i know its not the transmission because it has done it with 2 transmissions now. the first one ate the input bearing for lunch and chewed it up with a few of the gears so i had to replace the tranny.

Any codes from the check engine light? Sounds like a possible coil going bad. On my old 4th gen I had the same concern and the coils fixed it.

when i got the car it had a extra set of coils in the trunk. i tested those and tested the 6 on the car and put the best 6 on the car that i had it did help a little but it still does it. if it is the coils is their anyhting better than stock? maybe any brands that work better then others and what brands to stay away from.
