Those with Cattman B-Pipe and Stock Muffler....

would love to hear your feedback on this setup.

I don't care about additional HP. Just looking to replace my rusting exhaust with one that has about 10% more sound. One which won't drone at highway speeds.

Searched and found feedback to "do this or get that". Not interested in a cat-back b/c of the drone potential. My 46 year old ears don't want it. Just looking for that little bit of exhaust sound that the OEM setup does not provide (I actually like the current sound with the small hole that has rusted away )

So send me your comments at petemo94@yahoo.com

I had the full Cattman Exhaust with high-flow cat. My wife hated the sound so I switched to a Walker Quit Flo muffler. Its a little louder than stock and has NO drone at all.

so you replaced the muffler section with a Walker unit and kept the Cattman b-pipe? Or did you put the OEM resonator (B-pipe) on with a Walker muffler?

Thx for the info!

I had a cattman B-pipe with the stock muffler and you wont be disappointed. Just slightly louder (throaty)than stock. I now have a full cattman catback, ypipe and test pipe. Nice sporty sound but its still not what I would call loud. And surprisingly no drone on the hwy.

I was thinking about doing something similar. I'll have to keep an eye on this thread. OP It is either that or get a new muffler section. Any ideas on that?

Cattman B has a good resonator on it so it shouldn't increase noise. Shouldn't drone if you don't have headers/muffler

I have a Bosal b pipe and muffler and its about 5%-10% louder than stock and no drone. I think most aftermarket exhaust are a little louder than stock even though they say they have the same sound levels and specs as OE. The Bosal isn't adversited as a performance exhaust just OEM replacement, but its louder than stock....Just remember that they don't have the trick flap inside like the OE on does

I also need a new mid pipe. The exhaust hanger brackets are rusting bad, one hanger has already fell off and the mid pipe bangs the floor of the car when you go over speed bumps.
