headlight re-wire

Hi, I'm doing the 9004 to 9007 mod right now and are stuck on how to swap the low beam and ground wires in the connector without cutting them.... Anyone know how to do this? There is no write up on how to do it, just says to swap wires.... Thanks

cut and solder (or use connectors) is the only way to switch the wires in the socket that I know of.

You should be able to depin the connector and swap the pins around, though I don't know if they're all the same size. You just need a pick or something else with a very small tip.

9007 Wire swap pic writeup

This post is from the 3rd gen forums, but the connector looks identical to me. Look at post #34 for the wire swap.
