Lets try this again.

Will a sideskirt cover this up?

It will cover most if not all of it. Good luck on the install though, you would need to drill there for the mounting tabs to install oem style or use good double sided tape along with the side mounting screws and screws at the bottom.

Have you guys had any luck with car-parts.com? I found some junkyards that have em for 70-100 each side.

Rocker panel molding, that's supposed to be the sideskirts.

Oh ok. I would give them a call but becareful of best price auto salvage. They have sent me the wrong parts before and it was a pain to get a refund. But try any of the other places.

Thanks for the headsup on that, when you install yours, can you take a few pics? I want to see how it connects/looks.

I already put mine on. I can get a few pics of you want but I did not install the way it was intended as I did not want to drill the factory piece.

http://forums.maxima.org/infiniti-i3...de-skirts.html

There is a thread somewhere in the I30 section with pictures of the holes already drilled but I can't view the pics at work but a quick search should turn them up for you.

Forgot to tell you, a lot of those junkyards on car parts seem to take off the wheels and place the cars on the floor so talk to them to make sure the side skirt isnt crushed.

Rocker Panel Moulding

Sadly my I35 doesn't have 'em.. I'm in the process of sourcing them here in Canada but can only find them in the US. Anyone know if the one's from the Max will fit our car ?

They should fit, meaning tha cars are the same length (I believe), but the the main difference is the shape behind the rear doors. Take a look at the pictures of the maxima and I35 side by side.

Thanks for the response. I just found some I30 skirts on carpart.com and am having them shipped. I'm hoping they fit, are the right colour and are in fact in grade A condition as the wrecker claims... So, from what I've read, these aren't a straight bolt-on and I'll need to drill holes and)or use double sided tape. Anyone else on the board have experience installing OEM skirts ? Still searching for a DIY post and/or pics. Please let me know if you can provide any guidance.

I installed an I35 OEM set on my I30, so they should fit. They were new so I had al the tabs, plastic inserts and the instructions which includes a paper diagram that gets taped to the car and provides the places to drill the holes. Without this I think it may be very difficult to install them by drilling the holes. Additonally, b/c they are used they may not have the tabs or the plastic inserts that go onti holes that are drilled. Others on here have had success using double sided tape and screws on the wheel wells and underneath the car. From what I have read it's important to buy the best 3M tape which may be available on the internet only. You can PM if you have questions once you receive them.

Got em...

So, finally rec'd em ! Unfortunately they do need to be painted so I dropped them at the body shop... As far as install goes, It looks pretty ugly.. I don't think I want to drill new holes and introduce another place for rust to start forming.. If anyone has any 3M tape recommendations, please let me know. I'm actually seriously considering using some industrial strength epoxy (the type that fits in a caulking gun).. Anyone have opinions on that ? A strip of epoxy on the bottom, along the side and then the screws at the front and back should hold it IMHO.. As long as the surfaces are properly prepped.. Not sure if anyone on the board has tried this route. Please let me know !!!
