May have a fuel issue...thoughts?

Tonight, about half way through my tank, the car started hesitating. I was able to get it cranked after it sat for about an hour and took it straight to Diehl, my local mechanic, for them to look at in the morning. On the way there, I could get to 65mph @ 2K rpm and if I tried to give it gas and jump the tach to 2.5K it would studder pretty bad. I'm guessing that it could be 3 things. 1. bad gas. 2. fuel line clogged. or 3. fuel pump going out. Car has less than 57K miles.

What do you think? I'll let you know what Ricky and the shop have to say.

Thanks, Les

Could be a few things, sounds more like ignition problems than gas, maybe coil packs? My 02 has a failed coil now and runs like garbage. I also had a MAF die and it went into limp-home mode, thats another possibility. SES light on?

Sounds exactly what my car did when the MAF went out.

WAI was loose and letting air in. Confused sensor. Reprogrammed and I'm good to go.

$120.

Sucks, but could have been worse!
