These are AWESOME tires. I had them for a few days (they come with a 30 day total satisfaction return option). I returned them for some Kuhmos because I got them a bit oversized - 225/50/16's instead of 215/55/16's - and this slowed the car down a bit, plus they were a little pricey. But compared to any other tire I've had, they are the absolute best combination of stickiness, comfort, handling prowess, you name it. They will definitely be my next tires.

can't speak of those specific tires ... but they should be great!

A friend of mine has the S-02's on his supra, and those tires will be on my max very soon. The S-03's should be great, but still a little pricey for me when I KNOW what the s-02's are like.

no problem.

back on topic ... if you are looking at a max performance tire that you can use in the snow ... you are going to have a hard time! Those are really for dry weather, but do offer wet perfomance.

My suggestion ... if you are looking for a daily driven tire that can get snow traction, look for something else. Also if you get a Z rated tire, expect to new tires often. Since Z rated tires are not cheap ... well I'm sure you can follow the logic.

I'm in central Texas so don't have to deal with snow but here's another suggestion - you could get Kumho's for $75 bucks a pop, use them for the summer and get snow tires on some cheapo GXE 15" rims, both for about the same price as the SO3's.

Here in Boston...it doesn't snow THAT much...only like 2 weeks a year...so for those 2 weeks its better to have like all season tires. but those bridgeston look really good and its sucks they don't have snow traction
In boston you don't really need actual snow tires...but you have to get ones that have traction becaseu then its really dangours not to have them on in those 2 weeks

Did anybody hear about Falken...i am thinking i'll get the Ziex 235/45/17R...they look really good too...espeically wet performence..they are all season tires.

well $75 is cheap, but but you can't always get them that cheap for different rim sizes. I am now excluded from kumho's since they don't make one for 19" rims (none that I can find at least!) and I have to look for other tires. Honestly, I would love to have a 19" H rated tire. Just me though ...

hey

the S0-3's replace the S0-2's, tread patterns are different, S0-3's are out to replace the eventual discontinued S0-2's. The S0-3's have higher treadwear ratings then S0-2's. The biggest complaint on the SO-2's were that they didnt last long. On my uncle's Porsche, the 2's lasted him 12k. Pricewise for most sizes they are about the same. In some cases, the 3's are cheaper then then 2's. The longer lasting 3's are worth the money already. Another option to check out is the RE730's, great tire and they last a decent amount of time. 300 treadwear rating. Priced better for the tighter budget people. They get great reviews from everyone.

(sorry got lazy on the S0-3 and S0-2 crap)

S03's have a totally different tread pattern when compared to the S02's. I love the handling with my S02's, make my car feel totally different.

I was going to go with that tire, but I changed my mind. I like the way they look, and Im sure they preform ill, but I need something with at least some snow traction for here in northern KY. The new Pilot A/S's topped out really nice, even got a 10 on the wet traction. Im gonna go with those for $193.00 each (and they come in the stock 17 size too!)
