What kind Gas Milege to you guys get?

Well i'm asking because i wanna compare it to mine. i usually fill up with $35 and thats like 15 gallons. i get 215 miles to full tank of citgo gas and 270 miles to full tank of chevron gas.

Is that bad or good for a 95 maxima with 265XXX miles? Also i put $10 in and get less than a 1/4 tank and that 4 gallons was gone in 90 miles of highway driving.

I'll answer your question w/ a question...
A. Manual or Auto
B. I KNOW you're using premium.
C. CELs?
D. Check your tires
E. I mean I can go on and on but when was the last time you've done a real good tuneup, these cars are sensitive to how you treat 'em...

And to respond to your question...

I'm manual and I get 30mpg in manhattan and 26mpg in houston... all city.

I get 325-350 a tank on the highest octane I can get. I have an automatic and have a CEL for 2 codes (EVAP and EGR). Check my tires once a week to make sure they're properly inflated. Car was also aligned recently and I made sure the tires were balanced. Also changed my spark plugs 2 weeks ago.

All is well.

Daam, I'd love to see 350 miles to a full tank! im lucky to see 270. And why did you say I KNOW your running premium? Because i run 87 octane and never anything else. My car is Automatic and i take dam good care of it. has fresh oil new spark plugs n all. motor runs good check engine light is on for crank sensor,IACV,and knock sensor. tires are all good and inflated good.

93, then back down to 89, but never 87, you get what you pay for. I went 87 in my 5th gen, saw an immediate drop in MPG (down to 17-19 from 23) cause my low end was GONE, overall the power was just there, i just couldn't get away w/ shifting @ 2.2k had to get up to 3k to get the same acceleration.

This was on a mixed driving route btw, and the car was in tip top shape other wise (eh not really bad downstream O2 sensor but meh).

Aww... I get only 21MPG, before it was like 19MPG or 18 MPG, but changing the knock sensor helped a bit.

24mpg. About 370miles to the gas light. I don't 'top it off', manual, tires @ 35 psi, 87 octane 90% city driving. And a CEL: 0201

edit: oh yeah, 105k miles

I have 1995 Maxima GXE 5spd with 324,000 miles, check engine light is on for rear o2 sensor and no cat. spark plugs are new but valve cover tube seals are leaking oil onto my spark plugs.

Last Saturday I took a long drive and got 324 miles out of $50 worth of Shell 93 octane. I believe its about 15-16 galons. When I first got the car, on my drive to atlanta I got 420 miles out of a tank averaging 75-80mph with the A/C on, and two people in the car.

I think either a bad coil or the oil on the sparkplugs or both = causing poor mileage for me

I've gotten 25mpg's since I bought my 97 in 2000 with a mix of town and highway driving. It's an auto with 231000+ miles now. Gets a little better if it's all highway.
