no bounce on rear suspension
I meant if you stand back from the car, does the rear look like it sit lower than the front? Sounds like your rear shocks are blown. Are the springs and shocks original factory stuff?

The rear suspension can't hit the frame. There are bump stops incorporated into the rear shock assembly to restrict it's travel. With the factory ride height, there's plenty of room between the suspension and it's bump stop.
It soulds like you've got a harsh ride do to worn suspension components. Have a mechanic look at your vehicle if you're not handy. Otherwise, inspect it yourself and replace the worn components. Most likely it needs front struts and rear shocks.

someone correct me if i'm wrong... but, shocks absorb shocks. the weight of the car is held up by the springs.
if you have dead shocks, you'll have a very bouncy car over bumps.
your springs most likely lost their ability to hold the weight of the car and need replacing.
here's an example of bad shocks (before and after)
