High idle issues
High idle issues
Hi everyone,
I have a 96 with 130,000 miles on the clock. As of the past few weeks I have noticed that my idle speed is very high. Most times at idle the car is running at about 1,500 RPM's, with the trans in park. Since this issue has started, nothing has been touched on the car. In September the EGR tube was cleaned, but that was the last time the engine was touched. Does anyone have any ideas as to what could be going on?

get some MAF cleaner and clean yur MAF.
A clean MAF works wonders for the car. Jus cleaned mine cuz my car was startiing pretty rough or would start and die immediately. Cleaned the MAF and the TB...no issues since
Plus...if any sensors were malfunction the CEL would be on
