Water leak issue

Hey guys, I gotta small issue that I came across and I can't seem to pinpoint it.

Long story short, I moved to NJ from FL, as it's constantly raining or snowing, the car is all ways wet.

The leak seems to be only on the passenger side floor right under the glove compartment. It started to show it self right after it snowed, didn't leak much so I threw it off. Now it rained all day yesterday and I got into my car and i see the floor mat on the passenger side front is soaking wet. So i look under were the glove box is and its seems to be dry, it was dark, so im gonna look in the afternoon. But I just want advice as were is to look, As I said it only happens when it rains.

But when I say wet, It's like some one poured a glass of water in there.

Help!

Thanks in advanced

Either a bad windshield seal, or maybe your moonroof drain tube is clogged (if your car has a moonroof)

Yep sounds like a moon roof drain, it'll leak onto the floor along the side panel so it won't be wet behind the glove box. If you're going to do it right pull your pillars, headliner and all four hose and clean them.

You're in FL, wait for a nice day and go find an empty parking lot somewhere and do it, it's really not that tough.

Look at roof trim and sunroof in the BF portion of the FSM.

Just slide the sun roof glass back and look into the right corner of the track. You'll see the drain hole. Check for anything blocking it and blow a little air or stream of water into it to make sure the tube is clear. Air in a can, available at Staples or just about any hardware store works fine.

Exactly what njmaxseltd said. That's the exact way to go about it.

There's four drains and drain hoses, just doing the one leaking from the top may be a temporary fix but it may cause whatever's clogging the hose to clog it worse.

Why do it half assed and do it again later rather than right the first time so it's good for another 10+ years.

If you still have the leak and the car...

Not sure if you still have the problem but your AC runs through the passenger side. You might want to see if that box above your passenger's feet - underneath the dashboard - is leaking.

Best regards,

Hey I take offence to that Im a noob that trying to build my count.

But seriously, I came across the same problem. Driving in a wicked heavy rainstorm, water started to puddle on my Pass floor mat. But I also heard my fan blower and it seemed to be splashing water around.

Does anyone know where in fresh air inlet to the fan is? Is it under the wiper cowl? Im thinking water is getting in through there.
