Fastest N/A Westcoast 2007 CVT 14.00 @ 101.58

OK finally got everything back together and everythings running good. Ask you can see 14.00 @ 101.58. Heres my two best runs of the night. With my newest mod I'm having traction issues now, and I was also running on my stock 18's with street tires. So I traded my buddy for his 06 350Z 17's and getting some drag radials for x-mas. With my MPH I should have no problem breaking 13's and running down Kevin007 R.I.P. with his as I know, fastest 6.5gen CVT. O yea one other thing to keep in mind my local tracks are both over 1,200' sea level and seriously 15 cars showed up that night so the track was horrible.

Damn good run and trap speed! I have an 09 and an 03, of course you know that the 09 is CVT and I just want to get a good idea of what if any similarities are in the CVTs of both cars.

There's a huge bog in the 09 CVT, we (owners of the 09) all hate it very much because this car has so much potential as evidenced by your run to be in the 13's especially with the given 290HP despite the weight gain.

When I plant my foot down from a launch the car seems as though it refuses to launch quickly and then it kicks in at 40mph or so and takes off like a bat outta hell, does your car do the same?

I tried TC off and on and neither seems to satisfy me but it is clear that Nissan in a bid to curb Torque Steer cut back the power off the line/launch to improve the CVT and handling issues with this car.

Can you give any advice?

Thanks in advance

Current mods are NISMO CAI, NWP BOP, Headers, Y-Pipe, B-Pipe, Stock 07 mufflers, Bullydog programmer, and shell 100 octane race fuel. Yes the CVT blows ***** for racing. I can agree that we do have a pretty nasty bog off the line, almost feels like a slipping clutch with a manual. I've spoken with many people and its completely normal with the CVT's

nice times for phoenix. did you go to speedworld or firebird? I run in tucson here at SIR but always wanted to try phoenix since im at 3075ft vs 1500 in PHO. This is the best time of year to run. Its a waste to run in the hot temps! The DA just sucks in tucson and in Phoenix!

Thanks Bro for confirming the characteristics of the CVTs, it's nice to know it isn't just the 09s with this problem.

Do you feel the Bullydog made any difference and if so, what did you tune your car too? I have the BD too and I advanced the timing +2 degrees and of course move the Revs to the highest setting along with the top speed.

Just curious.

I forgot to ask; what is the weight of your car with all of this stuff? I suspect that the Headers gave you the most gain but obviously with the weight of our cars we can't expect too much in the way of speed. On any other Max (other than the 09) with the mods you have then you'd be in the 13s already.

If only they made these cars lighter!!
