Installing cattman headers, need some help

So my install has been fairly uneventful other than 2 of the rear precat bolts that would not come out. I ended up having to drive to an exhaust shop with open headers and get them to pull the bolts off. It took them like 5 minutes on what i was trying to get out for a few hours. So that sucked but they didn't charge me so that was awesome.

On to where i'm at now, I trying to install the rear header the front was easy, but for the rear no matter how hard i've tried i can't get the header to go on, the rear motor mount/bracket is in the way. My next plan of action is to remove the cross member and rear motor mount/bracket. I know this will allow me to put on the rear header but i'm nervous about the motor mount fitting after the header is installed. It seemed like no space was available, but no one has ever had an issue with cattman headers so it must work. I was mostly just curious as to whether any one who has installed cattman headers has ever done it without removing the cross member and rear motor mount. And if so was there anything special you had to do to get it to go on?

I thought I was going to get lucky and not have to remove it because I was able to get this far. but it looks like it's not going to happen.

Thanks.

I don't think you can do it without removing the rear motor mount. I had to pull mine with the crossmember to put the rear header on. Since you're removing one of the mounts, make sure you can support the engine with something, this will help the rear header install a breeze.

Remove the cross member, you'll have 1 motor mount still holding it. You'll Receive ALOTTTTT more room if you get rid of that cross member. I did my instal last week. After I removed that motor mount and got the rear bolts off, I dropped that last 2 bolts holding it up and the front and rear and y ( I left them connected) all came down Perfectly. Fell right off.
Remove that cross member dude, takes 20 minutes and saves you ALOTT of headache, if even possible to get them off with it on..

Did the install with obx 3.5 headers and removed the cross member and the rear motor mount and it was soooooo much easier to get the header up and bolted on.
Had the same issue with the 2 bolts by my cat too

Yeah, remove the crossmember. Support the motor with a jack under the oilpan and you can use it to tilt the motor back and forth. Just remember to put a piece of wood or something between the jack and oilpan. Tilting the motor will give you a lot more room to fit the header and reach the bolts from the top or bottom.
