After washing my car I find....

MORE F*CKING PAINT CHIPS IN MY HOOD!!!!!

I just washed my car 2 weeks ago and everything was fine; except for the nicks and scratches I knew were already there. So I wash my car today and notice HUNDREDS of little white flecks in the paint. I thought, "Oh, must be some sort of dirt that got down into the wax." So, I took out my polyclay, and it didnt work. After that, I got down to eye level with the hood and lo and behold the white "flecks" were where the paint was GONE!!!! I havent even been on the highway in the past 2 weeks and with the amount of care I give my car, I dont want to hear any bullsh*t from the body shop guy saying that its rock chips or that its my fault. So, I got the Nissan northeast reps info an im calling the pecker and telling him how Nissan is going to repaint my car!

Ill let ya know how it goes....

PS, was there ever a TSB on the paint issue, and what happened with

Good Luck! Please let us know how it goes cuz my Black car has a bunch of white 'freckles' in the front and on the sides (not to mention the numerous scratches on both sides of the car). I've only had the car for 1 and half months and I feel like I got ripped off cuz the car paint looks like ****. I've told the dealer about the trouble with the paint but they won't do a thing.

I've also asked about nissanpaint.com but no one seems to know whats going on....

Well, in the spirit of what NissanPaint.com was, I think we can start that up again ourselves since noone seems to have ANY information on what happened to that site. I think Nissan had it shut down and something happened to the person who started it. But, if we can get some kind of representation, I feel that we can MAKE Nissan take notice and do something. Here is what I propose; Everyone who is having paint issues (instead of contacting representation on thier own) write a letter and include photos of the problem. Include all contact information and send the letters my way. I will set up a PO box and once Ive gotten all the letters, ill PERSONALLY get an audience with the Nissan rep, and then see what he has to say. I know him personally through the dealership, so maybe ill get something out of him. How does that sound?

I'm in. It kills me to see those white speckles where the clearcoat or paint has chipped off.

Count me in...

let us know about the PO Box info as well as any specific address/contact to set the letter up with (even though you will be physically getting them, it helps to look like we all know who is the ultimate recipient).

Thanks for taking the point on this!!

What colors are failing ?

Could you guys post the failing colors ?
My neighbor has a steerling mist Max and a coworker has
a grey lustre and I could not see that problem on their cars.
It might be that only some of colors are affected.

Mine is a SuperBlack. That seems to be the most affected.

As far as who your sending them to, my name is Matt Fravert. PM me if you have any further questions or comments so we can all be on top of this.

PS, the sticky thread has started....

I'm in!

People should post their letters in the sticky also.

Others like myself who can't write for crap can use it as an example.

This is the exact reason why I haven't washed my car ever since I got it. j/k

My most favorite pasttime of washing my car has now become a suspenseful activity, fearing of what else I find on the paint.
