The sub 10 second Z guys almost all have built 6-speeds or TH400/TH350/Powerglide.

There are build options off the shelf for the VQ35 to make 1000+ hp.

I am pretty confident that the FWD 6-speed can be built to withstand half the hp that dragster is making, and we can get some stronger axles made by some place like the driveshaft shop. I doubt many 5th gen maximas will go faster than 1.5-1.6 '60 foots, though.

It would suck to be in 5th gear at that speed. Maybe at stock height with some careful fitting we could run 27=27.5x10" slicks. It would probably also be possible to find a lower FD gear for the transmission so 5th gear isn't needed.

I can't even put 255 stock horsepower to the ground on cold pavement.

1900 hp (if possible to do that and keep the engine fully under the hood) would be pretty hilarious in a front wheel driver car.

My Mirage Dynoed 383HP and 403lb torque to the wheels on a mustang dyno. Car weighs 2500 with me in it and it is barely impossible to use that kind of hp under daily drive condition and without the slicks. The car leaves 2 black stripes on the highway @ 60 mph...

1900 hp takes A LOT to put on the ground. Something that would be impossible on a FWD the size of a Maxima.

Max's can make 300 though, I just don't see the point in a fwd car. Plus our 2.25 exhaust really pushes up back compared to the z/g35 guys. Nice though to see a vq doing work though.

any money its still a 3.5 and its block filled with no water jackets and stuff, alot of big boost drag cars use that, this honestly impresses me more.http://www.turbomagazine.com/tech/0202tur_norwoods_racing_funnycar_integra/index.html
4000hp out of a 4cyl!
