Who has installed AE pedals?
Who has installed AE pedals?
I am thinking of buying a set for my 2000 SE and need some insight on this install. Hopefully someone has done this and can give me some tips and tell me if it is hard to do..
Thanks,
Jason

yeah, i think a lot of us have done this. i did it a year ago and it was a PAIN. it's super easy technically, you literally take off the old and pull on the new. the ae brake pedal is actually a rubber pad with the metal on top of it. so you pull off the oe flexible rubber one and then wrestle on the very-non-flexible ae pad. get ready for a forearm workout.
as for the gas pedal, it depends on what version you have in there now. mine was a fairly early model 2k so i had an steel pad behind my plastic gas pedal. no way the ae would simply clip on so i had to jb weld it. i think some people hacksawed off that pad. if you don't have that metal pad, i think you can just use the original plastic clip to hold it in place.

The gas pedal was fairly easy to replace.
If I remember correctly, just 2 nuts to remove.
But be careful not to damage the plastic piece that holds the end
of the cable to the lever assembly.
