Changing an engine

I have to change an engine in my 2KSE. I can pretty much do all the rest of the stuff, as I've swapped probably 25 engines in different cars in my life, but how (or where) should I attach my chain or strap to the engine to lift it out without damaging anything - especially the plastic DE-K intake?

Thanks,
Vince

In my Maxima pulls/swaps, I simply use a med thick (approximatey diameter of my pinky finger - but I've got big hands) rope. I run it through the last opening of the exhaust manifold and under the oil pan on the flywheel end. I run it down and under the crank snout on the front of the engine. Ultimately, you've got to find the best route so you can move, shift, level the engine as needed. This has worked well for me more times than I can count! Naturally, if you are pulling tranny too, then you would place the rope loop beneath the transmission (I've run at least one side of the rope through the tranny mount).

Note: I mention rope thickness, but I emphasize that you need to ensure (regardless of thickness) that the rope has adequate tensil strength to support beyond the weight of the engine.
