No problem man! I made that thread a while ago, but never acted on it. I have a spare set of door handles and prewired LEDs ready to go, but if you do a write-up, I'll probably start working on them this week.

i played with it a little today and god is it guna suck for the front doors! the wire boot in the back doors is easy to run wires threw but the fronts are guna be a blast. the headliner after unscrewing the dome is fairly easy to sneak wires threw, i ran the driver side wires only to eff it up and crimp a wire somewheres so i ripped it out and got mad lol. this mod is definitely time consuming and a test of ur nerves, im guna grab some better wire and retry this in a few days. from what i see the best way to run wires to the back doors is to take off the pillars and seatbelt to access the rubber gromit so u can feed the wire threw it. then run it up the pillar i plan to use some electrical tape to secure it. as for the fronts i would remove the A pillars and run the wires up to the headliner and sneak them threw. as how to get the wire into the front doors im basically stumped. i suppose u could run it inside part of the fender to the door but ehh thats just ghetto

does the ignition circle light come on with the unlock feature? Might be easier than ripping out the headliner

coat hanger and some wire

with the door panel off you should be able to pass the coat hanger through the wire tube that protects the wires, just routing all the wire is not going to be a fun task but can be done.

other things, even though we have different cars, make sure there is plenty of slack on the wire cause when you want to roll down the window it can snag that wire (trust me I know this, trial and error), so if you can route the wire in such a way it never makes contact with the window...the better off you are.

Oh and hot glue is your friend

shame the FSMs aren't online anymore, should be able to unbolt the door handle, pull it out and drill holes and hot glue LEDs in (how i did mine)

thanks drunkie! i was able to feed the rear wire threw no prob, i did leave plenty of slack for he windows. the way the front doors are the rubber boot is pretty hard to find from the inside im going to look tomorow again to see where i can go with it. and knight the key ring does light up with the unlock button so good idea on that! im going to get much better wire than what i was using and retry this with a little more patience. ill definitely keep everyone updated! drunkie ur car looks sick! nice work and thanks everybody for the help

Glad to hear they worked out for you, I look forward to see just how you make out with this project. As for the FSM I came across that one a while ago since the online that is in most of the links around here don't work. I simply downloaded all the files for my year and model for easy reference.

Kinda what I was getting at when I said I downloaded all the sections for my year. But for sure the information is so valuable in each of the different years taking them all for safe keeping is priceless - should yet a another link go dead

I wired my TDM side mirrors directly from the SECU, everything but the folding function can be found there...

On my mirrors, I wired the puddle lights to the dome light output. See the wiring diagram here:

http://forums.maxima.org/5th-generat...n-looking.html

Looks to be pins: 50 for (+) and 31 for (-)

I plan on doing the door handle LEDs in the next couple weeks. I have some ideas that should simplify things... if it works out according to plan, I'll do a write-up with pics. This is just about the only LED-related thing I can do that doesn't involve plug n play LEDs in the exterior lights (done some of those).. I've already done all the interior that I want to do

finally a few pics! i havent done anymore on this yet so just the driver door is wired, i managed to either blow a fuse which i couldnt seem to find a blown one but the ignition switch bulb stopped lighting up and the bulb doesnt seem to be blown. ill have to look further into it. but the killer of the front doors is the rubber sleeve with the wires running threw it is a plug so im trying to find another way to run the wire so its hidden. rite now i just drilled a hole shown in pic 3. the rear doors will be muchhh easier as i just have to run the wire inside the rubber wire sleeve thingys . more to come soon!

right inside the fender is a grommet that allows access from the door into the cabin.
