i got a question about the intake manifold

Okay i have been having problem's with the check engine it keeps throwin an egr code .... well i took it to the mechanie and i bought the new egr and when he was gonna replace it he said it wouldn't work cause my car didn't have the egr lines well years ago i replaced the motor and i think i have a 99 motor in it so now i have to get a new manifold anybody got any idea where i can get that line... i think am missin the line the real small one i think its a 10mm

check the for sale section there are a few people that are parting out the car you just need a pic of the part you need ... you can also try a guy named joe i dont remember that is name on here is i i think its maximajoe

wow, awesome thread... why not try searching first? first off; if you swapped an engine from a 99 did you also swap the ECU or are you still running your older ECU? cause quite honestly had you searched you'd know you dont even need your egr; and that you can simply block it off and let the sensor dangle...

yea i have the same ECU... so how do i elimite the egr and wont the check engine light stay on?

do a quick search and youll find the answer you seek; you need to block off the EGR passage ways, one on the Header and the other on the UIM and just let the Sensor dangle...
