has anyone heard of adding a resistor to intake system to improve performance?

found this when i was looking for a new intake... apparently it replaces a sensor in the intake system to improve performance... not explained too well
sounds kind of sketchy to me but has anyone heard of it or done it?

tricks your ecu to think the air temp is ideal even though it isnt and could potentially cause pre-detonation issues dont waste your time/money and get a piggy back like the greddy emanage and do a real tune

Or that feedback is based on initial reaction. Its more fitting to people selling used stuff, that new. The system is ideal to say "yes, this is the item described" or "no, it isnt" but there isnt any month and a half later response.

It will increase your hp, but without some tuning there will be engine damage.

that doesnt work..
the idea is that if you increase the resistance you will fool the computer into
thinking there is more or less air or colder air going into the motor. giving the benefit of the doubt if it did work. then your car would be runing rich or lean. cause it would be stuck in that same setting. putting all that aside our maf work on voltage and not resitence. so .. yea

Didnt know stickers could add 100 HP lol

Seriously tho...those gimmicks are a waste of time and can possibly harm the engine. I would never screw with the MAF. I took one look at the ebay link and was like, run away run away!
