JWT ECU is FINALLY on the way!!!

I sent my extra ECU to Cattman for the upgrade over a month ago. I guess Jim Wolf Technology has been really backed up or something. Yesterday, Cattman finally got it back and sent it on it's way. Not Cattman's fault at all, just wanting to let anyone know that if you're planning on this mod, it may be awhile before you get it. I can't wait to get this thing in my car. Guess I'll start trying to get the stock one out. I've heard horror stories about ECU removal.

It took me 40 days and 40 nights to remove my orginal ECU

But the bright side is it only takes 5 minutes to put the upgraded one back in

Did this mod require an Ark?

Let me know if you want some help installing it, can come up to KC some weekend or whatever. I'm sure we can figure out how to to get it swapped.

It's here!

I picked it up at FedEx last night. I couldn't wait so I plugged it in and let it lay on the passenger floor. I'll probably look at the stock removal today on my lunch break.

Didn't have a whole lot of time to test/check it out. I had one slight run in with a little CRX but he was disposed of quickly. Doubt I needed the ECU for that. But it does accelerate quicker on the highway. Even my wife noticed! Usually when I put something on, I get the "So why did you need this and what did it change?" speech. Last night she actually said, "Wow, it pulls a lot harder when you punch it." I'll try to get actual hard numbers as soon as I can. I've also heard it takes a little bit for the ECU to settle in an work at full potential. I'm impressed with it now so if this is true then I'm really gonna be impressed.

Sweet, Travis. Maybe when MO/KAN reopens you can retest your 1/4 mile. If there is a decent improvement, I might consider one. What's the going cost now? $550?

Do you guys know does JWT has an ecu for a supercharged Maxima? For the most part, I think most SC Maximas still have their stock ecu. I think Cheston is the only one with a reprogrammed ecu designed to work with the SC.

Probably be awhile until I can test it.

MoKan's running this Saturday night but it's my wife and I's 6 month anniversary and she won't allow us to spend it at the track. Go figure. Maybe I'll get a G-Tech and do some runs with the stock ECU and some with the JWT one. That will give me a pretty good idea if my money was well spent or not. The price right now is $590 through Cattman. Try to contact wicked1044. He was trying to get a group together for a lower price.

I think Jim Wolf could do one for a S/C car. They seem to be able to do quite a bit with those things. This is a quote from their site:

If you really want to know how good someone is at programming Nissan code, ask a few questions like; "Can you provide me with a program for bigger injectors?" "Can you change Mass Air Flow sensors when I need more power?" "Are power gains only at wide open throttle or are there increases in daily drivability?" "Can I add ECU controlled nitrous?" Jim Wolf Technology answers YES to every one of these questions. Due to the amount of Nissan ECUs JWT can modify please call for specific details and customization features.

Possible record time?

I pulled my car into the shop at 12:00 on the dot. Removed stock ECU, installed JWT ECU, reassembled, ran and checked everything, pulled it out at 12:45. Don't get me wrong though, it was a BlTCH to get out of there. Word to the wise, start on the front two screws. Then do the rear one on the driver side. Last, try to get the rear one on the passenger side out. That one is hell. I can't wait to get off work and go driving. I LOVE MY CAR AGAIN!!!
