Turn Steering Wheel Car Stalls.... Axle issue too

First Question.
Okay so I was doing some engine cleaning about a week ago and pulled the UIM off and cleaned the TB and make a new EGR block off plate because the cars idle was bad (sounded like a miss). Put it back together and idle is fine, drives fine. Nice.

Starting yesterday when the car is at idle (5spd) and I turn the steering wheel, the cars idle drops and the car stalls. Feels like the wheel gets stiffer and its harder to turn.. When I have it at a rev, it turns okay, no issues. I dont want to blow a ECU.

I am not throwing any codes. Could this be the IACV?

Second Question.
I need a new axle. The boot is ripped, my car is slammed, whatever. But, I only hear a clicking noise when in gear and moving. Does this sound right? When I am coasting and the clutch is in there is no sound.

I just didnt know if it could be another issue regarding the fact that it only clicks when in gear and moving... Wasent sure if somebody knew or not.

Now about the idle issue regarding when turning the steering wheel, and not moving. The engines rpm drops super low and then stalls unless I give it gas.

Is this for sure the IACV? Then cleaning it would only be a band-aid? And it would be best to replace it and then go to the dealership for an idle relearn?

Thanks

Is this the sign of it going out? Because the idle just drops quick unless im revving or moving. Otherwise it dies.

I am still not sure why the car would die while you steer...Perhaps the pump is seizing? Adding a lot of load and therefore dropping the rpm, affecting the alternator?

Get somebody to steer while you look at the alternator and see what it does.

steering wheel is not difficult to turn, when moving its fine or when the idle is up.

Any other ideas?

The test for power steering is when the car is stopped. Turn wheels left to right, do you lose rpm?

I have to do this on my car and see what kind of results I get, then I will post. I suspect your power steering pump is the issue, just speculation based on logic, but I have no experience on this. It appears that the pump is binding and is putting a huge load on the drive belt, enough to lower the rpm (increased load on engine).

Check your power steering pressure switch or troubleshoot the engine idle control operation....
