Finally ran my car, disappointed at the run

So I finally ran my car, but wasnt too happy.

Track was HRP of Houston.

R/T .559
60 2.334
330 6.589
1/8 10.105
1/4 15.674

Mods besides listed in sig are chromoly flywheel, centerforce dual friction clutch, 17 adv. Stock exhaust. 350z 18's Falken Azenis. No wheel slip, no clutch slip. I ran with full interior and subs in back (140lbs). I beat the 2011 Mustang GT I staged with. My friend has the video, waiting for him to load it. I wanted to hit 14's =\. I have VAFC2 i have not put in. Possible to hit 14's if i drop the box and tune AFC? Other than the mods, stock original motor with 160,000.

Get your 60 down a bit and you will be in the 14s. How are you launching? What kind of tires?

Get a better 60', Take out the subs, lighter wheels, and disconnect your stock exhaust and you'll be in the 14's.

Those 18's aren't helping your times either.

Weather was 57F. Tires at 30PSI but it hooked up. I dropped at 2500 and it bogged to 2100 then jumped rpm. No clutch or wheel spin. I only had one run since it was packed. Got there at 7, didnt run til 11:48. Thats how long I was in line!! =(. Im sure if I got more practice I could get a better launch. Track is sticky as HELL. Im really considering a 2.5 or 3 inch down pipe with solenoid y pipe for open exhaust. For now im gonna put in my VAFC2 and maybe run again with no spare tire and box. Also the mustang was a noob and didnt know how to stage and drive. He didnt miss a gear. He just sucked.

15.6 Run at HRP

looks like your trap speed was 87 in the video but it's kindof hard to make out.

you're not going to hit 14s unless than 87mph trap is an anomaly. get back there and practice some more. you could probably run 15.2s with a good (not stellar) 60'. take those subs out if you can. if you have your stock wheels try putting those on the front too.

you are running your car all the way out to rev limiter right? find where your rev limiter is (not just redline, but actual rev cut, since some tachs are off by a few hundred RPM) and run it as close to the rev limiter as possible. with those headers and DEK, that thing wants to be revved as high as possible.

I would double check and make sure your VIAS is working. I went to the track a week ago with a VIAS that wasn't activating (I didn't realize this at the time or I wouldn't have gone) and all of my runs were 15.6@93 with the exception of a 15.7.

IDK bro, I own a A/T 2000 Nissan Maxima and ran it last week and ran a 15.4 @ 90.3 MPH. I dont know if thats good or bad but I though M/T would do better than A/T...
