Questions in regards to the Viper 5901 2-Way Security and Remote Start System

I'm going to be installing the Viper 5901 Remote System shortly. I'd like to go ***** deep with this system and acquire every accessory I can before the install. I have done some research but I would like to make sure I have everything for the install. Therefore I have a few questions on these accessories.

Accessories for the install:
  1. 530T
  2. 506T
  3. 513T
I would like to be able to control all of my windows (up and down) and sunroof with the remote. From my research, it seems like I will be able to do so by using two of the 530T modules (one for the front two windows and the second for the rear two windows)

The sunroof option I need some clarification on. Please chime in.

Questions:
  1. Is there a module for the sunroof? I want to be able to open and close the sunroof with the remote?
  2. Will the 530T work the same way for the sunroof as it will with the windows?
  3. Is it possible to wire it to the sunroof switch and turn on the accessory circuit?
If I am missing any modules or gadgets that Viper offers give me some feedback. I have been on vipers website and I think I have gathered most of what I want. I plan on doing a system this summer so this is a great investment for me upfront. Thanks!

i know i rant the 530s in my old car, only on the front window, and i was able to roll them down by holding the remote, and with an additional latching relay i wired where i could go with turning the radio on by holding two other buttons.

dont remember the number but to roll the windows down and then cut the stereo on and have 4 12s playing at full volume to announce to the kids your home..its a nice feeling.

going to attempt to do 530. was it tough to route wires through the oem loom in the front and rear doors? or the wires have to be routed out from the door panel?

I had a 5701 in my solara I just wired the sunroof open on aux2 and the close on aux 3. Of course it was a simple neg pulse wire then just take the bit writer change that amount of time it took for the roof to open and close. I usually did the 530t in the door and ran to the brain, less clutter under the dash but you chance getting it wet in the door though I never had a problem w it.

The 529T is DEI's sunroof module, and it will work like the 530T.

I'm not sure what you mean by turning on the accessory circuit.

water get into the door? that's probably the reason why i see some people run wires out from the door panel instead of the loom.

Yes every door gets water in it, but the reason people run wires out from the door panel is because they are complete utter hacks and should never touch a car. That has nothing to do with water getting in the door.

Hey easy on the hack its not like I said leave it on the bottom of the door fumbling about the door skin.. No make a nice little spot in the styrofoam or screw it down to the middle skin, just the same as installing a cross-over.

Ya know when I went to the Dei snake pit this really kewl guy taught me 2 things
1) A good installer never calls another a hack, he teaches him the right way to do it
2) Your way usually isnt the best way, theres always someone who knows how to do it better so never stop learning.

I agree, and my above comment wasn't directed at you, it was towards kel456's post. I've put 530T's in a door before although its not my preference, and I've mounted plenty of crossovers in doors that won't ever get wet based on the mounting.

By "run wires out from the door panel" I thought he meant people who dont even run wiring in the door jamb either through the factory boot or next to it; instead, running the wire out from the bottom/side of the door panel, until it reaches the kick panel area where it gets tucked behind a panel there.
^That doesn't have anything to do with water getting into a door. Water will get into the door, but if installed correctly, shouldn't get to the 530T.

I'm pretty sure if you went to snake pit, you don't run wiring into doors like I described - at least I hope not, because the people who do so deserve to be called hacks. kel456, please don't install your wiring this way.

Tommie, To your point of teaching though...

kel456, we would need to know what year your maxima is to properly answer the question of how hard it will be to run the wiring through the factory boot. Some have molex plugs and some don't, so some are much easier than others.
