NO its snowing...is my new paint job going to get messed up
I think more of a concern is what the road crews use on the roads, and not necessarily the snow.
But anyways, if you got your max to be some kind of show car, or had some awesome paint job, or even just spent the money to get the original paint job redone, then for sure, you had the symptoms of the winter anticipated. At the very least, I'd make sure I parked in a garage, and washed the car at least once a week during the winter. You should have waxed it up real nice right before winter as well. If possible, you may want to wax it halfway through the winter.
Personally, I wouldnt have gotten a new paint job if I didn't have a winter beater to drive around for the wintry months.
The paint battle here in Nebraska isnt even worth fighting with how much gunk the crews lay down on the roads. They're covered with crap from the first snow until April at least. Here, cars must have mudflaps, and front-ends get chewed up regardless. I worked at a car wash, and saw my fair share of nice, expensive cars that were 1-2 years old, that had pretty badly scarred front-ends, and bad quarter panels because of the lack of mudguards.
If you live somewhere that puts nearly as much crap on the roads as they do here, and have a new paint job, I wish you luck.

hehe...but also, high pressure hoses aren't good for the paint. Trust me, there's really no good way around it - if you own a car in a place that has messy, salty winters, the paint is going to suffer. The only solution is to not drive it all winter.

Try to keep it clean. Spray off as much salt as you can and dirt when it gets on there. Also I dont know if they said not to wax it yet or not but if you can get yourself some nice wax that has like a 35% level of caranuba wax on there and put like 5 coats on. It will take a while but if it helps then more power to it. That will get you through ther winter. But keeps it clean with just plain water whenever possible.
By the way what color? Got any pics?

This is probably the worste time to have a paint job in its new stages but its not a good idea to wax when the paint is new. I was told by the Nissan autobody tech that painted my car to not wax the car for a couple of months. The paint take a very long time to harden.
the reason i got it painted is because some ******* keyed my car...but it is black...paid 2800.00...did an ok job...i have a lot of dings and a couple of dents 2....it has some little tiny almost square bubbles...but not noticeable unless u stick your face 2 feet from it you cant notice it...as of now i dont have a digital camera or scanner...ill def have some pics up in the spring when i get somw rims on there...thanks for your help..

Mainly, when there is salt or any type of debri on the paint, don't wipe it. Use the hose to get the big stuff off first. When you get bird crap on the car, get it off immediately. I use windshield washer fluid and a cotton cloth on new paint. When the paint is nice and hard, I use cleaner wax to get the bird crap off.
