Pics of my OEM AE Aero kit installed!

Well, I finally got my OEM AE aero kit installed. After searching the org and finding comments by Maximum Velocity about the kit being difficult to install, I decided to have a local shop do the install. Thanks Maximum! It took the installer most of the day to install the kit. He said that it was taking him longer than expected. Ha! I had to laugh at that. I really love this kit! It really complements the lines of the 5th gen Max. Nissan did an excellent job with this kit. The rear spoiler tapers off around the muffler on both sides to avoid colliding with the muffler. This is different than on a real AE but I like it this way because I have a receiver hitch and I can still use my hitch. The only thing I need now are AE splash guards to finish off the look.

Enjoy the pics.

Thanks. Best I can tell, the side sills are identical to those on a real AE.

Costs were
$1000+tax for the kit.
$200+tax for the install.

Of course, you could do what Maximum did and install it yourself. The kit is already painted from the factory to match your car. But if it takes a pro 7 hours to install, then it would take me 7 days.

Looks good jkratzer, you're welcome for the help. That's what the BBS is here for. The side sills are identical to the AE. When you get the slash guards, then you gotta take some more pics and send them over!!

Ludacris, the whole kit is identical, even the rear valences, but on the kit that jkratzer and I have, the rear valences are just capped off and are missing that middle piece.

No, just the sig pic one. When I go home for winter break, I'll be sure to take more and scan them so that you can see them. Or if I can get ahold of a digi cam, then they'll probably be clearer.

Nice...looks kind of like mine.

I assume you left the center piece off the rear spoiler to leave room for the different muffler tips that are on the SE as opposed to the AE? I think somebody asked why earlier...that's my response.

That's what it's suppossed to be..the different tips, but the tips on the regular cars would clear the kit. The AE kit comes without the middle rear piece, so in essence he didn't really leave it off.

Your body kit looks good. Is this kit a bottom piece attacments that you attach to the factory bumpers on the front and back? I want to do something like what you did, but I don't want to have to rip out my whole bumpers.

Hey Kratz

Damn you got a good deal two bills for 7 hours of hard work, nice.

I think you live in the Washington D.C. metropolitian area. Do you happen to know Kevin Kratzer? he works at CSC.

Re: Pics of my OEM AE Aero kit installed!

whew, looks sweet!

the whole reason i was looking away from the AE was because of the dang cetner piece on the rear that would get in the way of my muffler, but since it's missing, i'm gonna start saving up for the AE kit! nice job!

kafene.

The consists of a 3 piece front lip, two side sills, and two rear caps. All of the pieces attach to the existing bumpers and door sills with doubled sided tape and screws. You don't have to replace your bumpers but some drilling is required. The pieces are already painted to match your car.

Thank you for your info. I already have the factory side skirt on my 2K2 SE. Do you think I can only order the back and front? Or will it look funny. It sounds a bit expensive for this kit. Also where do you go to buy this.

The back pieces should fit but the front may not fit a 2K2 because the front bumper is different. I'm certain you can order the parts seperately. I went to my local Nissan dealer and asked for the kit. The parts department has an "Accessory Bulletin" whichs lists the kit as available for all 2000-2001 Maximas. Nissan sells the whole kit for $1149 but I talked them down to $1000 for the kit( don't pay MSRP ). As for cost, when you consider the cost of the Stillen kit which costs approximately $1000 new, and the fact that the Stillen kit still needs painting, I think the Nissan kit is a good deal. I've also heard that the Stillen side sills can rub on the doors. The Nissan kit fits really good.

Not right now. Since the OZ distributer is here in Miami I kinda got hookd up. I can see if they have any more if you like just PM me. They told me that these wheels were getting discontinued so they might be a little harder to get a hold of.

I dela with OZ and they said that the wheel is discontinued except for the backstock that they had for bimmers. I wanted to but that wheel 3 years ago when I bought my altair pluses and the told me that wheel did not come in a fitment for my car! Name a reasonable price!

I don't think there is any difference.

Michael98033, but to be an authentic AE, he would need the peforated seats, the bronze tinted headlamps, AE badging, AE chrome sills, AE shifter, AE wheels...lol the list goes on and on. Just bustin your chops...Peace.

Right, I'm with you...I know the rest of the list...but those are pretty easy for him to accomplish...much easier than the body kit.

The side mirrors on the SE, they have a black frame running around them, don't they...unpainted. Maybe I'm crazy, and that's not the case...if not...nevermind.
