Changing intake manifold upper gasket on 5th gen

So I just purchased a new gasket for the upper part of the intake manifold. My question is does anyone have a tutorial? Or how hard will this be? I don't really like having a mechanic do this work because I know the price will not be cheap.
Any help is greatly appreciated

a year or engine would be helpful...3.0 or 3.5?

If its a 3.5 and you are just removing the UIM, its pretty easy...a couple bolts, vacuum hoses, and wire harnesses

His signature says it's a 2000.

I've done a 02 and although tedious it wasn't horrible.

The 3k motor has been around a long time and I would thing many of the members have done it and looking at the motor it doesn't appear too hard.

If your car is a 2000 and you have never taken your IM off before, it will be a pain in the rear. It will probably take you all day.

The best tips I can give you is be patient. There are a bunch of brackets behind the manifold that you cannot see at all. Just feel for them. Also, dont forget the 2 bolts holding the EGR tube to the IM right behind the throttle body. They are 10mm if I'm not mistaken. And lastly, If you think you have all the bolts off and the IM still wont budge, your missing something. Once everything is unbolted it comes off easy. No prying needed.
