I got a new Max!

So, this weekend I went out to Cleveland to look at a Maxima that more or less found me in the Maximas For Sale Forum, and I drove it home Saturday afternoon!

Its a 1999 SE with 55,000 miles. Black, with black leather interior. Bose, Auto Climate control, Sunroof, Spoiler, dual power seats. Basically the only things that it doesn't have are ABS and the cold weather package, neither of which I really cared about.

$16,000, which is about $2,500 underbook. In addition to that, the car is already modded slightly. Stillen Y-Pipe, Stillen Intake, Stillen Muffler, UR UDP, Stillen FSTB, Stillen RSB, H&R springs and Momo 17X8 wheels all installed at his dealership (North Coast Nissan if you're in the Cleveland. They were very helpful and nice guys!).

Also, I got all the stock pieces (which will be used to return my 97 GXE to stock to sell) and the OEM alloy wheels with Goodyear tires on them.

I figure I don't need most of the mods this car has, because I'll transfer mine, so I sell most of that and the car will cost me less than $14,000 all said and done.

So, even though Bill will say I went from a true Maxima to a Minima, I'm happy. I hope to take some pictures tomorrow and post them tomorrow evening!

Argh! I wanted that one! jk

Congrats on your purchase!

North Coast is supposedly a great place...I haven't been there but the maxima I currently drive was bought from there by the previous owners, who loved the place.

btw, I live in Cleveland (Westlake).

Thanks guys. Yeah, this dealer was really cool. I ended up talking to who (I think) was the son of the owner. He works there part time and has a 95 or 96 Max.

I financed the car though them, and they were exteremly helpful and easy to work with.

Nice

Congrats on the new car

Black on black... sweet.. that is what i wanted but i got this cloth tan interior instead

If you wanted heated seats, they can be added for cheap, it was the topic of a recent post, just add modules from a junkyard.. anyways... can't wait to see pics.

Re: I got a new Max!

Man, that sounds like a great deal.

As for North Coast, I just don't know what the deal is with them. When I needed to get my Y-pipe put on, they say they will do it over the phone but when I get there, they adamantly refused citing that the pipe was NOT street legal. How many mods are DOT approved? Maybe they didn't think it was worth their time or maybe I didn't have any pull there... don't know.

Anyways, you have a beauty!

The old maxima will be returned to stock (which will be really painful. I put the oranage corners back on it last night and it was a painful sight!) and sold. It has 90k on it now, so its gettin' up there.

Rims, dunno yet. Thinking of 18" OZ F1 Cups.

Oh god, 5-speed of course. I forgot that I even needed to mention that.

Yup, I just wanted to be like you.

Why are you in Florida?

I'm jealous of your 5-speed!

I'm thinking that after I get a year or two out of this car, I'll get me a 5-speed! Guess I'll just enjoy the fact that I have a Maxima.

I'm still shocked that you were able to find a black-on-black 5-speed SE. That's a rare combo and with mods, an even rarer combo. I didn't know we had another modded Max in the area.
