3.5 Swap Auto, Smooth Idle, no IACV

ok so ever since I have had the 00VI to now the 3.5, I have never had the IACV. But right now I am just getting tired of the rough shaky idle while in gear and at a stop, it drives me nuts, specially when its hot out, im upset, then feel the car shake, just fks up my day lol.

Now! how are you guys with 3.5's idle'ing? smooth?
My A/F is on point, vacuum is fine as well (-15 in gear), which means it has to be the timing that needs adjustment, what timing are you guys showing at idle while you are in gear.

My setups is:
- 3.5 TB with drilled plate (to not have to adjust the idle screw so much and throw off the TPS),
- TPS at aprox 0.60v (fsm says .15-.85v at idle is within spec)
- Fuel pressure at mid/high 20s psi with 600CC DW

What do you guys suggest so that I can get my idle as smooth as stock? mess with timing?

One thing you have to remember streetz is that most people who have done the 3.5 swap are running manual transmissions. We're always in neutral when sitting there idling so we wont feel the car shake. So us stick shift guys might be experiencing similar idle problems as you but it's not being felt in the cabin. lol

Do you feel it in neutral too?

Well it dosnt missfire or anything, it revs quick and free, the car rides perfect. But once you come to a stop and you have it in gear, specially with A/C on, its just rough.

Yeah it makes sense about the 5sp, the other 3.5 swaps that I have dealt with didnt have noticeable rough idle due to the reason you mentioned, essential.

I am just worried about the IACV because I have heard of a few people put it on and still have issues with it.

I have a pretty rough idle too. Most likely due to the cams and poly mounts but I also noticed that my ignition timing is around 8* at idle. I've tried everything to get it to 15* but no luck. I'm running an IACV and it doesnt help. FP is at 34 psi with vacuum(13) and 42psi at WOT on stock 350z injectors.
