6th gen interest in a "saggy spare tire solution"?

So djfrestyl makes these and since my trunk just got soggy and my board is sagging horribly I asked him if he had interest in a 6th gen version. He asked me to gauge interest, so hit the poll up above but i know I want/need one!
Here's his thread that has been live since '06:

I voted yes even though I am not sagging at the moment. I can see that happening pretty easily if that styrofoam support breaks. That board that comes stock is fairly light weight. Still looking over the other thread as well.

One of the votes is me

I'd say 8-10, plus I have to find a local orger to use for a prototype.

Subscribed & voted (yes). I have the weathertech trunk mat. This wont' cause a bump in the flooring, but more of a 'flat' surface correct? What is the total weight of the piece of MDF, 15-20# if that??

yes, FLAT!

The 4th/5th gen ones are about 8lbs, fully carpeted. This one would be about the same, possibly a few pounds heavier.

Looking for a 6th gen in the Central NJ area for prototyping!

Just linked this thread to the 6th gen section of nycmaximas.org. Right now it looks like I'm very likely going to give this a shot. Now I just need someone as a guinea pig!

I don't mind prototyping one...just need a donor car in the area willing to let me take some measurements and hang around while I cut some wood

Just an update guys. I was able to locate someone from the NYC forums willing to drive down to my place one weekend for some prototyping action

I'm just working through my very busy schedule to find some time to do this.

Updates will be forthcoming

Sorry gents, I haven't made any progress, simply haven't found an idle weekend to work on it. The prototype is staring me in the face every time I walk into the garage though.

Hopefully it walk up and smack me in the face soon
