Desparate! Distributor Rotor

I haven't been able to get the distibutor rotor off the shaft on my 1992 GXE. Now the car barely runs. The rotor when screwed into the the shaft can be rotated about 30 degrees by hand, is this normal or could I have damaged something trying to force off the rotor (of course with the screw out). Trying to loosen the rotor I applied force rotating it while trying to pull it up. Any knowledge would be greatly appreciated.

sound like you killed it... I would recommend taking it to a mechanic and having them see what they can do with it... either that, or you can just buy a complete new distributor, cap, and rotor $$$$$$.
