how come all the owners of 5th gens are always tryin to turn them into 5.5 gens??? changing bumpers, headlights, and grills just to make the conversion, if u want a 5.5 gen then y not go buy one instead of tryin to transform ur 5th gen i think its ridiculous in my opinion

any 00-01 max owners agree to keep it real and stop tryin to "fake it"

 

Some people had a 5gen before there was a 5.5 gen. Or they didnt want to deal with possible 3.5L issues. Or they just want update the look of there car.

I have 5.5 headlights, Why? Because the lighting is much better, looks better, and I dont have to use a aftermarket HID kit that looks ugly.

Otherwise I do like the 5th gens.. Aftermarket grilles are useless to me

No I didnt. I have a 5th gen bumper, ect. I bought 5.5s because they are better all around. And I got them for the low.

 

yea they are better for the hids then our glaring 5thgen heads but i still like them better i dont like how the 5.5 heads have the circular theme they should have just stuck projectors in them instaed of that

i have not had any issues with my 3.5 to date. and if you ask me. the benefits i mentioned outweigh any potential future problems.

5.5 gens look more modern, thats why many people update. If I could get the headlamps and bumper for a cheap price, I would do it too, but I don't want to waste anymore money on mine.
